Description

I wanted a quick and easy way to display I Can Statement posters that followed the National Standards for Music Education. I Can Statements are intended to help students understand the point of each lesson and know what they’re supposed to be able to do at the completion of that lesson/unit. The statements in this bulletin board set follow the 1994 National Music Standards (set forth by the National Association for Music Education - NAfME) and the numbers move around to match the standard we're working on. Numbers K-5 are color coded to match the Silver-Burdett "Making Music" book series.

Read this blog post to learn more about how I use I Can Statement Posters at my school!

Included in this set:

*9 "Print and Post" I Can Statement Posters in full color.

*Each poster features text with large focus words like "I CAN SING" with clarifying statement that goes into more detail, "I Can Sing By Myself and With Others."

*Feature statements include I Can... Sing, Play, Improvise, Compose, Read & Write, Listen, Evaluate, Find Links, and Describe to follow the 1994 National Standards for Music Education.
