What educators are saying

Full of great resources! I used this in combination with my own resources when teaching The Hunger Games, and it was a hit. Thank you so much!
This resource was so helpful for our Hunger Games novel study. It aligned with the standards perfectly. I was able to use some of the questions to engage the students in discussions. Questions that are not simple recall/comprehension questions are very beneficial.

    Description

This Hunger Games Teaching Unit has everything needed to teach the first book in the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. It spans from basic comprehension to application to evaluation of literary elements. The activities reach students by relating to their life experiences and media viewing.

Included in this Hunger Games Unit:

→ short writing prompts (can be used as journals)

    → writing projects and activities

    → OVER 30 graphic organizers

→ a multiple choice quiz for EACH chapter, a review sheet

→ an editable movie guide that follows the adaptation

    → character infographics

→ a final test (completely editable!)

Answer keys are included for quizzes and the test. Teaching suggestions and Common Core alignments are included for writing prompts. The activities include graphic organizers to analyze literary terms, character infographics, and an extended activity to analyze reality television in regards to the Capitol's filming of the Hunger Games.

These items for teaching The Hunger Games can be purchased separately, but this unit contains it all for a low price. If you would like to read each products' specifics (and see their previews), these items are included in this unit bundle:
