Description

This is a writing skills lesson on how to write a paragraph. This was designed specifically for special education students who are at various levels of writing. This can be used in the primary grades of general education classes. It is very basic and simple and tie into the Common Core Standards of ELA. They are listed under this posting :)

In addition two days of this strategy are using instructional norm strategies tied into Common Core. These would include Categories and Justified List.

***NOTE: THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE ALL THE EXTENDED PPTS. THESE ARE AVAILABLE AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE IN THE STORE*** Also, this lesson has parts where you can add in your own insight.

The lesson plan is a 5 day unit on writing a paragraph:

Day 1: Thumb rule and MINTS (see store for extended products)
Day 2: How to Make Hot Chocolate writing assignment (Free link for Free bundle in packet)
Day 3: Main Idea (Categories & BrainPop Video)
Day 4: Topic Sentence (Scramble-Transition to Justified List)
Day 5: Main Idea, MINTS, and Topic Sentence (Justified List)
