How to Write College Application Essays with Example and Assignment

Looking for the Do's and Don'ts, the How's and Why's of college application essays?

This is a 20 page guide of handouts, examples, and an assignment that I use when giving a college application essay writing unit to 11th and 12th graders. It goes over general tips and strategies as well as specific prompts for the new Common App (2013) and University of Wisconsin system. If you are outside of Wisconsin, it is easy to add your own college-specific prompts, but with the "You", "Why Us", and "Creative Question" prompts also included, just about everyone should be represented.

This will give your prospective college students good tips and a great example essay- ready to print and pass out!
