What educators are saying

This resource is such a cute way for students to practice appropriately responding to questions their peers may have about their hearing loss.

Description

This resource includes 5 pages with 4 comics on each page (20 total). Each picture includes a character asking a Deaf or Hard of Hearing character a question about his or her hearing loss. In the speech bubble, have your student write how he or she would respond to that question. This activity is great for developing self advocacy skills. This activity is great practice for the student to learn how to speak up, become more comfortable with his or her hearing loss, and learn more about themselves as well. I have created these comics by writing down real questions that my students get asked. This activity is great for upper elementary school, middle, and high school.
