Description
Fall is here and in full swing! It is the time of year to carve pumpkins, rake leaves, make caramel apples, and enjoy the best of the season. Take advantage of the inspiration the season has to offer and teach your students to write a How-To about their favorite fall activity. This all inclusive lesson plan has everything you need to get started. Happy November! :)
This lesson plan includes standards, an essential question, surveys, posters, drawing, brainstorming, writers transition words, writers editing checklist, graphic organizers, teacher drafts, answer keys, final draft decorative writing paper choices, glue in notebook resources, and a fall song! My class has been singing the song everyday to begin and end our writing class! (Adams Family Tune) There are so many How-To ideas to write about. How to carve a pumpkin, rake leaves, set the table for Thanksgiving, make caramel apples. The sky is the limit! Make the best of the season with your students and fall in love with fall. :)
