Description

To fulfill our NGSS requirement of sustaining a long-term observation within the classroom, our fifth grade team is using plant observations!

Students were able to design their own experiment, choosing from a variety of seeds, containers, soil types, watering methods, growing locations and light sources. The trick? They could only pick ONE of these to be their variable!

I created this booklet to help them visualize their experiment-they had to outline exactly how they were going to grow Plant #1 and Plant #2, with everything being the same except one area. The booklets then contain 30 days of note pages so they can observe the plant growth over a month's time.

Finally, there is space for students to record their conclusion after 30 days of observation.

Download this great booklet to use with your kiddos and have a great time asking 'How does YOUR garden grow?'!
