What educators are saying

This was a wonderful resource to combine with my other Rocket informational readings to build vocabulary help students grasp vocabulary. Loved it

Description

Science teachers can be reading teachers, and reading teachers can teach science! "How Do Rockets Fly?" compares rockets and their engines to an inflated ballon that shoots through the air when you let it go. What both have in common is that escaping gases obey Newton's Third Law. Newton's Third Law states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The action force of the escaping gas is countered by the reaction force of rocket (or balloon) motion. Reading level: sixth - seventh. Short answer and fill-in questions check comprehension. Answer key included.
