Hot Chocolate Challenge/January 31st is National Hot Chocolate Day

There are enough activities to last 2-4 days.

Caution: Be aware of student allergies to milk, chocolate, etc. Some students may follow Halal food restrictions and cannot eat marshmallows.

Equipment/Materials Needed:

  • Stove top or hot plates
  • Sauce pans
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Whisks
  • Stirring spoons
  • Milk
  • Cocoa
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla extract or flavoring
  • Salt
  • Half-and-half
  • Access to water

Optional:

  • Whipped Cream
  • Various milks or milk substitutes
  • Flavored syrups
  • Sprinkles
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Marshmallows
  • Your students may think of something else!
