Description

This homophones webquest is suited to students from years 3-6. Students 'dig' at seven (internet) sites to try (learning their homophones at each site) to find the number of steps pirates must walk (in a north-west direction), from the 7th site, to find a buried treasure. At each of the 'digs', students access an internet site about 'homophones'. They must complete the site to answer the questions (clues) given. Each clue will lead the student to a number. When they have all 7 numbers it is time to total them. This is the 'mystery number'.

Students work through the coloured tabs at the base of the screen towards the 'Mystery Number' tab. Here they can enter their answer. They receive feedback on their success (or otherwise).
