Holocaust - Two Research Projects - A package of documents that contains two student-centered research projects related to the Holocaust. the package also includes a slideshow that covers the topics of the projects, two rubrics and a detailed overview of the documents for the teacher.

The first research project is related to the stages or steps of the Holocaust and the experiences of the victims and requires students to research two different websites (plus other sources) to complete the questions for inquiry. The second project is related to the concentration camp Auschwitz and how it represents the overall ideology and policies of the Nazi Regime during the Holocaust. It also requires students to complete a question for inquiry and use a website (among other sources) to complete their project. The web links are provided.

Both projects are student-centered, inquiry-based and require critical thinking.

Included in the package is a 22 mark rubric for the teacher to be able to easily mark both projects. Also, the teacher will find an oral presentation rubric should the teacher have the students present their projects.

Finally, the package includes a 119 slide slideshow that details the major events, people and themes of the Holocaust. The slideshow covers both of the topics of the projects and is great for teacher background information or to use to go over as a concluding activity. It contains comprehensive information, engaging pictures and detailed firsthand accounts of the Holocaust.
