Description
A great way to get kids motivated with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (and so much more)!!! Students work independently to create a holiday meal plan and gift list for their "family" while under a strict budget.
This PDF includes slips each student can draw giving them their "family" and "gift & food budget".
It will take approx 1-1.5 weeks to complete in class depending on how in depth you go.
I have my students calculate tax and incorporate coupons and sales.
A day or two before the simulation start students bring in ads and coupons from home.
I cut the strips and place them into 2 plastic bags (Budget) (Family)
