    Holiday activities: Critical-thinking and creative activities for students to use with any novel or story

    Character Gifts for Any Book or Story: Students choose a gift for a character based on the character's needs/wants.

    Character Ornaments for Any Book or Story: Students create ornaments that symbolize a character.

    Snowman Caricature for Any Book or Story: Students create a snowman/snowperson to represent a character.


    All of the activities practice creativity and critical-thinking skills. Responses must contain evidence from the text to support their explanations. Includes differentiated handouts and interactive notebook or classroom display options. Rubrics are included, as well.
