Description

This is a musical program intended for students in 1st-3rd grade. I did it with my 2nd graders last year, and boy did we have a blast! It was such a fun show to start off the concert season, and was well received by the parents, students, and the faculty- always a bonus!

This product contains the following:

-Concert Overview

-Program Script

.....Enough speaking parts for 8 students

.....Ability to add more or to take some out

.....Also includes 2 solos and multiple dancers

.....11 Songs total

-Editable Save the Dates (Color and B&W)

-Foldable Parent Program

.....Editable

.....Color and B&W option

-Decoration ideas

-Parent letter- comes in English AND Spanish

All editable components come with directions on how to download fonts. Of course, you are free to choose whichever ones you prefer. :)

All speaking parts are rhyming and segue into the next song(s). Here is a sample of the script:

"From the fiddle to the banjo, or anything with strings, traveling instruments helped bluegrass music to the scene."

Songs used:

-Promenade Together

-Old Brass Wagon

-Paw Paw Patch

-Turkey in the Straw

-Old Turkey Buzzard

-Oh, Susanna

-Bought Me a Cat

-King Kong Kitchie Kitchie Ki Me O

-Shoo Fly!

-Kreely Kranky

-You are My Sunshine

PLEASE NOTE: Sheet music is not included in this product! A perk of this program is that songs can be easily changed, added, or taken out to fit what you already have in your classroom library. Please know that if you would like to use the same songs as me, you may need to look into purchasing it from those specific people as I am not the original creator of the music in this program - just the script and all the fun extras! A lot of the songs are from the Spotlight Currciulum. If you do not have Spotlight, the majority of songs can be found online for free or in folksong collection books such as "150 American Folksongs."

Total program time: approx. 30 minutes
