How to Use

  1. Click on the provided link to open the Google Slides file
  2. Hit the “Slideshow View” button in the top right-hand corner
  3. View and present slides that teach about the history of Halloween
  4. Trivia questions follow; students select the answer (It’s really fun and includes sounds!)
  5. If students get the answer incorrect, they can press the back button and go back to the question and try again
  6. If they get the answer correct, they press the next button and go to the next question

Also, if you lose your place or want to play again, there is a button in the lower right corner that will take you back to the beginning of the game. If you don't like the sounds (which you will because they are great!), you can just turn down the volume on your computer.

You can do this as a class, or put the students in small groups, or students can do it individually in the classroom or at home.

Alternative Use Cases

Send the link to your students at home; students learn the history of this popular festival on their own, then try to answer the questions. Make sure students can only view (not edit) the file and remind them to click the “Slideshow View” button. If you teach online, you could also present this to students on Zoom and share your screen.
