I use this in my own Intro to Teaching as a part of a CTE Education program to teach the history of education in the US. This slideshow is wordy and there is A LOT of information included on each slide. However, I have tried to make it as engaging as possible with videos and reflection questions built in. The material is the history of the education system in the US starting from the colonies to modern day.
It includes key figures in the history of US education such as Horace Mann, Maria Montessori, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin. This product includes over 100 slides covering the history of education in the US spanning the colonies to today.
