History Timeline Card Game: Inventions Edition

Game Play Directions:

Shuffle all cards.

For 2-3 players, deal 6 cards out to each person. If there are 4 or more players, deal each person 4 cards.

Make sure to keep cards with the date side down when dealing. Put the remaining cards in a deck in the center. Players then spread out their cards in front of them.

To start the game, the top card is drawn off the deck and flipped so it’s date-side up and placed in the center of the table.

The first player will take one of their cards and then guess if it happened before or after the date of the card in the center of the table. If they guess correctly, it gets placed as part of the “timeline.” If they are wrong, the card is discarded and they draw a new one and place it in front of them. The game ends when a player gets rid of all of their cards. If there are two cards that contain the same date, they may be stacked on top of each other.
