Description

A real history mystery!!! This product is great for Historical Thinking Standards and Common Core. Otzi was frozen over 5,000 years ago and just found fully preserved in the Alps in 1991. This product includes 10 questions and answers to use with a PBS documentary (Iceman Murder Mystery, 2011). Also included with this product is a website where you can purchase a History Mystery book (websites in preview) with a lesson plan on teaching Otzi to your class. I have made my own cheat sheet/lesson plan to accompany the activities this book (the book is NOT included with this product).

I start the year with this mini-unit. It draws the students in and gets them really excited about history. The activity/video can be done with any social studies class because of the focus on historical thinking (doesn't matter what time period you teach).

A full preview is attached-please download it and take a look. Remember if you buy this product and rate it you receive TPT credits towards prior purchases.
