What educators are saying

My students loved making brochures about the key historical figures in our social studies standards. I loved the layout of the brochure. It is easy for the students to follow and complete independently.
My son really enjoyed using this for his Daniel Boone project. The great thing is that it can be reused and adapted to any historical figure.

Description

This brochure activity can serve as a great mini-research activity for kids to do as part of a unit on any important historical figure, or as an enrichment activity. Students are asked to research an important figure, and illustrate and fill in various pieces of information on the brochure. This project can easily be adapted for kids in grades 2-5 by adjusting your expectations for the amount of writing and specific levels of detail given by the students.

Famous Women, Black History Month, Author Studies, etc. are just the beginning of other potential uses for this brochure.

Brochure template, an example of student work, and instructions for the teacher are included.
