Historical Fiction Writing Unit

Looking for a step-by-step way to teach a historical fiction writing unit with your students? This unit is one that I have used with my students for the past few years. It includes a list of historical fiction picture books, a "noticing chart" to help guide your students to read like writers, a SMART Board presentation or Power Point presentation) that you can use as a step-by-step guide through the learning/process, a ten day written lesson guide-for you the teacher, and a copy of the grade sheet that I use to grade their finished books.
This is one of my students favorite writing pieces that we do all year. I think your students will enjoy it as well!
