Hispanic Heritage Month Activity- Mexican Mirror Craft + Reading Comprehension + Math (Addition/Subtraction with Regrouping)- includes link to Google Slides pages of Reading passage and craft directions

This Hispanic Heritage Month activity is a fun and creative way to celebrate and study Mexican folk art as a part of the month-long celebration (September 15-October 15) and make cross-curricular connections between Art, Reading, and Math- great for Arts Integration! Students can enjoy making a Mexican mirror craft and also reading about Mexican mirrors with a Reading comprehension activity. Finally, they can solve Math problems (add and subtract with regrouping) to discover dates of independence for Spanish speaking countries.
