High School - Writing for Audience & Style - Creative Writing - AICE & AP

Need a rigorous task for students to practice writing? This assignment is meant for students to practice annotating and analyzing an author’s use of style and structure. This would be ideal for higher level grades or AICE/AP. As it has creative writing elements, students needs to tap into specific styles of writing.

Pass out the texts for student to read and annotate. When they are finished, you can hand out the prompt options and have them choose which one they’d rather complete or you can pick a specific prompt for them to follow. There are creative writing aspects for some of the prompts as they will need to adapts a specific style and language.
