    Description

What are some high school life skills that your students should be building? How about budgeting, meal planning, and personal finance for an incredible start?

I have put together several high school life skills resources that when combined help students build these essential life skills and 21st-century skills in a way that is fun, engaging, meaningful, and super real-world.

What high school life skills are we talking about here? Let's take a look:

    • Plan and Execute a Fundraiser: spreadsheet use, budgeting, graphing, marketing, planning, project management, organizing tasks, managing time and deadlines, organizing materials, teamwork, communication, collaboration, data collection and analysis, and more!
    • Plan a Dinner Party on a Budget: budgeting, meal planning, fractions, project management, teamwork, organization, task management, and more.
    • Plan a Road Trip on a Budget: budgeting, itinerary planning, geography/mapping, packing, meal planning, money-saving hacks, tech literacy, and more!
    • Develop and Start a Business: marketing, budgeting, planning, collaborating, networking, web design, technical writing (business plan), and more.
    • BONUS: Artificial Intelligence PBL

    How to Use this Bundle:

    • Hypothetical or Real: Each resource included in this bundle can be used hypothetically or actually executed. The resources include the tools to plan and prepare for each activity (dinner party, road trip, business, and fundraiser) and can be carried out in reality or not. I highly recommend executing all plans if possible!
    • Application: These resources are great for classroom use, homeschool coops, camps, summer school programs, community programs, AVID, college and career prep programs, adult learners, and more!
    • Timeframe: Each project takes at least a week to plan. The road trip and dinner party projects could take anywhere from 1-2 weeks to plan. Having the dinner part or taking the actual road trip will of course add time to the experience. The fundraiser and business resources could take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to plan and organize and extra time to execute.
    • Schedule/Structure: These four projects could make up the entirety of your curriculum for a class or program OR you could slip these experiences in alongside other learning activities and lessons you have going on.

    What else you should know:

    • You DO NOT need experience with any of the topics included in this bundle. The resources were designed to guide you and your students seamlessly through each experience.
    • Each resource included in this bundle has a printable and digital Google Slides version. The business project and fundraiser project each include a pre-formatted financial spreadsheet for budgeting and data collection.
    • The resources in this bundle are not editable at this time.
    • Take a look at the previews for specific components included in each resource!
