    Description

    This is the ULTIMATE business bundle for secondary school teachers in Ontario and the rest of Canada. The 12 resources included are all in Google Slides™/Google Docs™ format, which makes them ideal for both in-person and remote learners as they can be completed digitally or printed. These resources would work for Grade 9 and 10 Introduction to Business (BBI1O, BBI2O), Grade 11 Entrepreneurship (BDI3C) and Marketing (BMI3C), as well as Grade 12 International Business (BBB4M) and Business Leadership (BOH4M).

    This BUNDLE includes:

    • Business Ethics Research Project - This resource contains a Google Slides™ to introduce students to topics related to business ethics. Included in this resource is a lesson plan, a worksheet package for students to consolidate key concepts presented in the Google Slides™, as well as a project assignment sheet for student presentations and assessment rubrics.

    • Business Plan Entrepreneurship Project - This project requires students to develop a business plan for their own company. During this assignment, students will learn about what to consider as well as the process of starting a business. Students will complete this assignment step by step from the beginning stages of development to the final stages of execution. This is designed to be a teacher-led walkthrough with gradual release of responsibility.

    • Canadian Business Research Assignment - Students will work in pairs to choose a Canadian company for their project. They will be required to research the history of the company and how the company provides value/service to customers. Using this information, students will create a PowerPoint/Google Slideshow which will be used for a 10-15 minute classroom presentation.

    • American Business Research Assignment - Students will work in pairs to choose an American company for their project. They will be required to research the history of the company and how the company provides value/service to customers. Using this information, students will create a PowerPoint/Google Slideshow which will be used for a 10-15 minute classroom presentation.

    • Human Resources Introductory Lesson - Using the Google Slides™ provided, students will learn about key terms pertaining to Human Resources. Topics include HR history, human capital, behaviour management, benefits and challenges with HRM, and a brief introduction to five functional HR areas.

    • Human Resources Training & Development Lesson - Using the Google Slides™ provided, students will learn about considerations as well as the process of performing a Task Analysis. Students will be required to have a conversation with an individual employed in their chosen career to gather information to complete this assignment. Though it can be modified to have an online research component instead. Topics covered in this resource include: training vs. development, performance management, benefits of performance management, extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, six steps of a task analysis, job descriptions, employee motivational theories

    • Human Resources Planning Lesson - Using the Google Slides™ provided, students will learn about key terms pertaining to HR Planning. Topics include: strategy, competitive advantage, tangible and intangible assets, five different competitive strategies, Porter’s Five Forces, organizational restructuring

    • Human Resources Compensation Lesson - Using the Google Slides™ provided, students will learn about key terms including direct & indirect pay, intrinsic & extrinsic rewards, base pay & performance pay and more. The resource includes a knowledge check/quiz as well as a short assignment (rubric included).

    • Human Resources Health and Safety Lesson - Using the Google Slides™ provided, students will learn about key terms pertaining to Human Resources: Health & Safety. Key topics addressed in this lesson include: the importance of studying health and safety, implications for HR, workplace accidents, employee rights, responsibilities of employers, emergency planning, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

    • Design Your Own Product & Marketing Plan - This is a creative secondary school business activity where students will work in small teams to invent and promote a fictitious product. Using this fictitious product, students will write a marketing plan report and deliver a product presentation to their classmates.

    • Personal Finance Lesson & Activities - This resource contains a detailed slideshow outlining important personal finance topics including: budgeting, banking, insurance, mortgages, credit, investments, retirement and estate planning. This lesson can span 1-2 weeks and works well as an introduction or supplement for financial planning lessons.

    • Email Etiquette - Teach your students how to write professional emails using this easy, interactive Google Slides™ unit. The ability to write a proper email is an important skill that your students will need for the school year... and for life!
