This was an engaging activity for my ELs. We used this for memory and matching! I like the realistic pictures! Great for older ELs!
I used the resource as a matching memory game. At first they had to name each food item after they flipped a card and try to find the matching food item. Then I changed the rules to where the students had to say "I like cheese, or I don't like cheese" after they flip a card.

You can do a lot of activities with these flash cards. You may print them and cut into separate cards or use them like a vocabulary list to introduce and study new words or to practice spelling.

You may use these cards for different vocabulary games such as memory and concentration, food identification (when one student describes the chosen food and others try to guess its name), children can practice with likes and dislikes, different sorting games with healthy/unhealthy kinds of food. You may practice speaking activity (what do you usually eat for breakfast (lunch, dinner), what is your favorite food and so on)
