What educators are saying
This was so useful for my class presentations when introducing the school to our new therapy dog program!
While we read the novel Because of Winn Dixie, we also started tghis research project. The kids were VERY engaged. It was amazing! Thank you!
Description
Combine your students’ love of animals with inclusive character education in this research project :)
Students will research the different types of service dogs and then present their findings. Students will be introduced to the topic through completion of a web quest in which students visit various websites and close read the text to answer questions.
Each student (or group of students) will be assigned one “type” of working dog to research. Students will then complete a summative activity (poster, website, PowerPoint, Prezi) accompanied by a presentation. I have included a presentation rubric!
INCLUDES:
- webquest
- note taking pages
