These pdf decodable books are best used after systematic, sequential, explicit structured phonics instruction for use during targeted small group time like structured literacy, guided literacy, phonics interventions, phonics skill groups or phonics tutoring.

Phonics skills included in this set are: consonant blends, consonant digraphs & trigraphs, double final consonants, long vowels with magic e, y as a vowel, soft c, soft g, consonant blends with silent letters, -mb, -wr, -gn, -kn, rh-, and glued sounds -ng, -nk, inflectional ending -ed, and suffixes -es, -ies, -ier, est.

PLEASE NOTE: Grouping students by phonics skill IS NOT THE SAME as Guided Reading. Students in phonics groups are grouped based on phonics skills, not reading levels.
