Hebrew Animals Wall Decor - Letters of the Hebrew Alphabet Banners and Posters

Hebrew phonics is so much easier to remember when they're all right in front of you!

This alphabet decor pack is all about animals, a familiar and engaging theme for young kids. We have an animal for every one of the 22 Hebrew letters (it's Vardit (rosefinch) for Vav if you're wondering). We added posters about Dagesh in Bet, Kaf and Pey, and another poster about the Shin dot. 

Our banners are small enough to fit nicely in smaller spaces - two letters on one letter-size page. 

Cut the letter banners and the posters out for a beautiful display.

We've also included a pennants version which you can easily attach to a string and hang anywhere. This option is great where space is limited or shared.

No mystery Hebrew words! Here is the full list of the words for each letter:

Alef: אַרְנָב ahr-NAHV (hare, but kids can identify it as "rabbit" which is just what every Israeli kid thinks of when he hears the word "arnav").

Bet: בּוֹנֶה boh-NEH (beaver)

Gimel: גָּמָל gah-MAHL (camel)

Dalet: דֹּב DOHV (bear)

Hey: הִיפּוֹפּוֹטָם hee-poh-poh-TAHM (hippopotamus - now here's an easy one)

Vav: וַרְדִּית vahr-DEET (rosefinch - yes, rosefinch, it's a pink bird. Vav is a hard one)

Zayin: זַחַל ZAH-chahl (caterpillar)

Chet: חָתוּל chah-TOOL (cat)

Tet: טַוָּס tah-VAHS (peacock)

Yod (yud): יָתּוּשׁ yah-TOOSH (mosquito)

Kaf: כֶּלֶב KEH-lehv (dog)

Lamed: לִוְיָתָן leev-yah-TAHN (whale)

Mem: מֵדוּזָה meh-doo-ZAH (jellyfish)

Nun: נָחָשׁ nah-CHAHSH (snake)

Samech: סוּס SOOS (horse)

Ayin: עַכְבָּר ahch-BAHR (mouse)

Pey: פַּרְפַּר pahr-PAHR (butterfly)

Tsadi: צָב TSAHV (turtle)

Kof (kuf): קִיפּוד kee-POHD (hedgehog)

Resh: רְאֵם reh-EHM (oryx/antelope)

Shin: שַׁבְּלוּל shab-LOOL (snail)

Tav: תַּרְנְגוֹל tahr-neh-GOHL (rooster)
