Health Sun Safety Sunwise Hyperdoc Lesson Distance Virtual or Classroom Learning

This Google Slide hyperdoc assignment can be used in Google Classroom, Schoology, or made into another format to use elsewhere. It includes 13 colorful pages with everything needed for this complete assignment on Sun Safety.

For this Sun Safely assignment (Be Sunwise, Not Unwise), slides 2, 6 and 7 have brainstorming questions to create motivation and reflection into the students own lives and experiences. Slide 3 lists positive things that the sun provides in a nice colored table. Slide 4 has a similar table that lists negative things that the sun provides. Slide 5 has a video about the suns UV Rays that can be found HERE. This video also describes how dark skin has a natural SPF called melanin but can also burn (although differently), and lists ways to protect yourself from the suns rays. Slide 8 lists ways to protect yourself from UV Rays in a colorful table. Slide 9 describes what sun damage may look like. Slide 10 has a matching activity to match the sun situations as "Do" or a "Don't". Slides 11-12 include 5 reflection questions with a text box provided for students to answer in. The last slide has the final instructions and the grading rubric which can be filled out with the students' grade after it is submitted or turned in.

The reflection question slide has an audio file attached that give the directions for the students. You can use the attached audio file or delete it and create one with your voice.
