Description
Our Health Musical, called "Elementary School Musical," is a quasi-parody of the Disney hit (but in no way affiliated, of course.) This musical features hip, modern pop-style songs, and tells the story of an elementary school class that has to put on a musical based on everyone's least favorite subject -- health!
Topics covered: self-image, hygiene, physical safety, nutrition, and exercise.
All our products include a script (PDF) and music (MP3s). Each play lasts about 30 minutes. Music includes the versions of the songs with vocals, as well as "karaoke" versions without vocals, for the students to use for the performance. Both are licensed for unlimited duplication for your class. All our plays are for students anywhere from 2nd through 6th grade, classes ranging from 10 to 40 students, and teachers who may have no background in putting on a play!
The songs are not cheesy, but catchy, and not just some guy on a little Casio keyboard who's never actually been in a classroom before. Each play correlates with national/state standards in both a core content area, such as Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, or Science, as well as a Performing Arts area, such as Music or Theater.
