What educators are saying

Pro tip from- use this at the beginning of the school year so your students are well versed in their lingo by the time you start checking out! I love this game, but I won't lie, it can get a little loud. Just be prepared for that and adjust as needed.
My students loved this review game! It was engaging and a great way to recall some of the previous learning. My library class was abuzz with excitement as they played. Thank you for creating this resource!

Description

This library vocabulary game comes with a one page of directions and two vocabulary card decks of over 60 library themed vocabulary words. One set of cards has just the vocabulary word; the other set of cards has the words and clue words to help students who may have trouble coming up with their own clues.

A student places one card on their forehead without looking at the card. The other students in the class or small group, give clues (either ones printed on the card or ones they come up with themselves) to help the student holding the card guess the vocabulary word printed on it. Use it with just particular terms you're focusing on, or the whole stack. Get your students familiar with library lingo such as circulation, circulation desk, due date, overdue, renew, patron, and barcode. Familiarize students with terms like genre, fantasy, historical fiction, nonfiction, biography, and more.

The folder you download also includes two editable POWERPOINT slides so you can add your own terms that may not be included in the set. I used the fonts AHARONI & CENTURY GOTHIC, if you want your cards to match mine.
