Description
This bundle includes a PowerPoint Presentation and handouts with samples, tips, and steps for learning to draw a haunted house in proper perspective.
Objective: Students will learn beginning perspective rules and apply them to drawing a haunted house. They will add stairs, walkways and creepy details all while using simple perspective rules.
Art Presented: Art presented to teach concepts are Christina's World by Andrew Wyeth and Paris Street: Rainy Day by Gustave Caillebotte. They are used in the presentation to show how objects appear closer and farther away. Students will learn how to draw objects closer or farther away by drawing them smaller and higher or larger and lower on the page.
Elements and Principles: Shape, space (perspective and proportion), line, and balance
My Experience: I have taught this lesson for years to 3rd through 5th grade students with high success. They love drawing their own houses and are excited to learn simple perspective rules.
