Handwriting Practice and Life Skills Unit, DATES
- PDF
Description
Handwriting Practice made practical for elementary and middleschoolers.
DATES
Our lives revolve around knowing, sharing, celebrating, and planning dates. Here we begin with trace work for the 7 days of the week and move into it’s application on a calendar. Learners are asked to schedule real life events and that of a provided event list. Next we cover months and the many ways to write the full date and abbreviations, including writing one’s birthdate. The temptation here is to make up dates. I strongly recommend learners use real names, events and dates in their lives. This is information from a life skills perspective that will be useful in years to come. Each unit is designed to motivate reluctant learners to practice handwriting by connecting concepts to it's real world use. Each unit is designed to be printed out.
Use as a tech free resource during holiday and summer breaks and after heavy tech school days.
