Radio Theater Play: The Canterville Ghost

Radio Theater Play: The Frozen Pirate

These radio plays were adapted specifically for the classroom.

Here is Oscar Wilde's story, one of the first of his to be published, adapted into a radio play with roles for 15 students, is suitable for middle and high school students. Students become familiar with one of England's most popular playwrights. This script could be used separately as a stand alone lesson or as part of a unit about horror stories of the late 1800's.

The Frozen Pirate contains similar materials. Here is William Clark Russell's book "The Frozen Pirate", with roles for 16+, adapted into a radio play suitable for middle and high school students. Zombie Stage Makeup

This lesson is focused on stage makeup application for ZOMBIES (yes, you read that right)! It gives your students an opportunity to be stage make up designers. A brief history of stage makeup is included for the teacher to instruct through slides as well. Students in art classes, drama, and gifted students love this lesson.
