What educators are saying

This is a really cute and fun way for students to practice with percents! I even use it throughout the year when it's not near Halloween because they enjoyed it so much. I can't believe they actually try to get them right now without complaining!

Description

Want a fun, no prep practice activity for percent applications in October? Students LOVE trying to escape this haunted house as they work with percentages!

Here's how it works:

Students are given 14 problems to solve, choosing from 3 possible answers for each one. If they solve correctly, they will choose the correct door and avoid the scary giant spiders! If they make a mistake, a spider appears, and they are prompted to try again.

The download includes Google Slides and PowerPoint versions.

Problems increase in difficulty as students make their way through the house. Most are word problems to practice real world (or spooky make-believe world) applications.

This is self-checking practice. Students will not turn in any work, and you will not need to grade anything. They will know as they work if they are answering correctly.

This resource is editable, so you can customize it to fit your students.
