These 2nd Grade Halloween Math Puzzles are perfect for early finishers or students who have already mastered their basic addition and subtraction facts in 1st - 3rd grade. This set of 24 2nd grade Halloween math add and subtract logic puzzle task cards helps your students become effective problem solvers. Plus, these 2nd grade Halloween math puzzles are aligned to the Common Core Standards!
Each of these critical thinking activities contains 4 problems using pictures and numbers. The students must figure out the value of each picture. Students complete these add and subtract logic puzzles by solving 20 unknowns in all positions. They work with equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem when completing these halloween math puzzles and activities. These add and subtract logic puzzles lay the foundation for problems in which students use variables in mathematical expressions. All of the task cards come two to a page and are in black and white to save you ink! They look great printed on Astrobrites yellow and orange paper. For each of the critical thinking activities there are answer keys and recording sheets included.
