HOW TO WRITE A PERSAUSIVE ESSAY - OUTLINES, ORGANIZERS, & MORE!

This simple yet detailed Persuasive Essay outline will help students organize their thoughts, data collection, and research! Each step (representing each paragraph or page) thoroughly outlines the information the writer MUST include. The students use the outline as a guide for completing each worksheet/template. Each worksheet or template represents each section of the essay (e.g., Introduction, Reason 1...). Once the students complete the templates, all they have left to do is transfer the information onto a separate sheet of paper and turn their notes into complete sentences. I often encourage my students (when possible) to formulate complete sentences on their template to save them from doing it later and that way I could monitor their syntax throughout the writing process. Before they know it, they will have a complete, convincing, persausive essay with supporting details, evidence, and references! I created these organizers as I was teaching my struggling students how to create persusasive arguements and it worked wonders for all my students (3rd-11th graders).
