What educators are saying

These are a wonderful addition to the HMH curriculum! Such a great resource making my life easier. Thank you!
The resource is so much more student-friendly than the HMH Know It Show It. The whole assessment package was well done and tested the skills taught each week.

    Description

This Into Reading Mega Bundle is aligned to Grade 5 for Modules 1-10. This is an entire year of supplemental practice pages AND aligned assessment for all 30 weeks of the curriculum.

    Included in the bundle:

    • Reader's Workshop practice pages
    • Vocabulary practice pages
    • Spelling practice pages
    • Interactive notebook pages
    • Specifically aligned assessment for Weeks 1-3 of Modules 1-10

Each page is designed to be engaging to students, yet rigorous. The fonts are interesting but easy to read, interactive notebook pages are included, and students are given opportunities to color and cut & paste. Students must have access to the text as they work, as many pages require text evidence.

These supplements and assessment are available in both printable and digital formats to allow for remote teaching. The interactive notebook pages (as seen on the cover) are only available in the printable form.

    ✨Into Reading Supplements:

Students love these interactive pages! Don't worry if you do not use Interactive Notebooks in your classroom. The interactive pages in this lesson can be glued onto notebook paper or construction paper. You can even staple a "notebook" of lined paper for them to use with their Into Reading lessons! Your students will love this new way of demonstrating their learning.

The reading responses and interactive notebook pages are differentiated so that you can best meet the needs of each reader in your classroom.

How to Access Google Slides for Practice Pages:

The link to GOOGLE slides is on the second page of each resource. Teachers will be forced to "make a copy" into their Google Drive. From there, teachers can share their copy to their students.

    ✨Into Reading Assessment:

This HMH Into Reading 4th Grade Assessment BUNDLE has been created to assess the reading skills, vocabulary words, and vocabulary strategies of Modules 1-10 for grade 5.

The Reading Skills Assessment incorporates reading comprehension into the quiz. For example, in the Module 1 Week 1 quiz, students are to support the provided Central Idea of Government Must Fund Inventors with story details.

    Included in the download:

    • Reading skills assessment covering the reading skills and strategies taught in the curriculum
    • 2 vocabulary quizzes per week - definition matching and using context clues
    • Vocabulary strategy assessment that covers both the vocabulary strategy and the generative vocabulary
    • Spelling organizers are included for students to record their spelling words as they are read aloud
    • Google Slides for online learning
    • Complete answer keys

    Length:

    • The Skills Assessment is 2 pages (or 1 page, front and back) and averages around 8-10 questions.
    • The Vocabulary Definition quiz is 1 page and the Context Clues quiz is 1 page.
    • The Vocabulary Strategy assessment is 1-2 pages and averages about 6-10 questions.

How to Access Assessment Slides for Online Learning:

A link to the Google Slides is included in the Zip file. In the file, open the PDF labeled Quiz Links. Teachers will be forced to "make a copy" into their Google Drive. From there, teachers can share their copy to their students. Text boxes are already inserted for students.
