Description

Students review hiragana knowledge playing FOUR IN A ROW, with a partner.

What's Included

Five different game sheets are included, in colour and black/white. Gameplay instructions are also included.

The game sheets feature:

1. Hiragana A-No

2. Hiragana Na-N

3. One and Two line hiragana

4. Three and Four line hiragana

5. Hiragana random selection

How to play

The aim of the game is to colour or cover 4 hiragana symbols in a row.

Students play in pairs taking turns to roll a dice.

They check the hiragana symbols in the numbered column matching the dice number. They select ONE symbol and state its sound.

They then can colour that symbol using a coloured pencil OR place a plastic counter over the symbol.

The partner then rolls the dice, states a hiragana sound and colours the matching square with a different coloured pencil/counter.

Preparation

Print the A4 size sheets choosing the colour version(for use with counters) or black/white for simplicity.

Laminating the sheets extends their life. Students could use erasable pens on the laminated game boards.
