Description

Introducing HASS | Year 3 History: Celebrations, Commemorations, Symbols and Emblems, the perfect tool to teach your students about the historical origins and significance of celebrations and commemorations both in Australia and around the world.

With ACARA outcomes in mind, this product provides a comprehensive overview of the days and weeks celebrated or commemorated in Australia such as ANZAC Day, National Sorry Day and Australia Day, as well as the importance of symbols and emblems.

Check out our other year three HASS resources:

Students will have the opportunity to explore and research three other Australian events of their choice, as well as one celebration that happens in another part of the world, which they can complete as a home activity. The product also includes a group activity where students will research the emblems of an assigned state or territory, encouraging collaboration and teamwork. Reflection questions are provided to encourage students to reflect on their learning and to further their understanding of the historical significance of these celebrations and commemorations.
