This phonological awareness game is based on the Science of Reading foundations. Your students will practice manipulation of the onset and rime of two words to create a new one-syllable word. Manipulation requires the ability to add, delete, and substitute phonemes. Your students will be giving their brains a workout with this engaging activity!

Words were chosen from high frequency word lists to reinforce sight word knowledge and decoding skills.
