This was great resources to help my students get their Haiku ready. This was an outline format for them where they could draft before creating their final draft, which was then given as a gift.
Description
Teaching haiku is easy with this study-practice-publish activity kit!
* * * REVISED ON 4/13/13... Revisions include fact sheet about haiku poetry, addition of 2 more sample haiku poems (written by me :) and 2 new publishing paper choices!
Students will study sample haiku poems to discover the 5-7-5 pattern. Then, they can choose from 2 different writing planners to practice their own haiku form.
When they're ready to publish, your students can choose from 6 different writing papers decorated with fun & funky borders.
I've also included a powerpoint slideshow of these materials in the event that you're using a smartboard or projection unit.
Included in this kit:
- 4 sample haiku poems
- 2 writing planners
- 6 final publishing paper choices
- powerpoint slideshow
