Description

This is a guided literature unit for Sing Down the Moon (4.9 GE), by Scott O’Dell. The book is historical fiction. This unit encompasses multiple common core English Language Arts standards. The unit includes questions pertaining to inferences and figurative language – such as personification and similes. Additionally, vocabulary is a key focus of this unit. Each worksheet includes vocabulary words in which students will need to look up the definition. Students will also write a paragraph using some of the vocabulary words. A list of all of the vocabulary words for this unit is included in the front of the unit. A cloze test is included on most worksheets.
