Best used at the beginning of a unit on trigonometric/inverse trigonometric functions (before demonstrating how to solve textbook problems), this activity invites students to use inductive reasoning and class discussion to discover the big ideas behind graphing trigonometric/inverse trigonometric functions without a graphing utility.
