Growth Mindset - The Dot: Activity Packet

This activity packet can be used for guidance lessons, small group, read aloud activities, literature circles, sub work and more!

Growth Mindset is a positive way of thinking. When someone laments, “Well, I’m just bad at Math!” or “I am terrible at cartwheels!”, the growth mindset approach would be to help the person look at their "temporary" short comings a different way.

A growth mindset lets a person figure out the next step in his/her journey towards success and helps the learner take ownership in his/her achievements.

This book review studies the book, The Dot by Peter H Reynolds. This book follows a girl names Vashti who just can't draw! Her patient Art teacher supports her until Vashti wants to learn how to draw and also learns a few lessons along the way.
