This lesson has complete directions to lead your students through the lesson clearly. All the planning is done for you, all you must do is print off the pages, purchase the ingredients and watch your students have fun building a grilled cheese sandwich.

Lesson flows as follows:
Day #1
1. Warm up questions
2. Students will get in group of 3 or 4. They will start planning for their grilled cheese sandwich. Students will be provided with guides to fill out to complete their plan for their grilled cheese.
Day #2
1. Students will fill out their Food Lab Plan
2. Students will create a a Name Card for their grilled cheese.
Day #3
1. Students will make sandwiches and be judged.
Day #4
1. Students will answer the evaluation sheet.
2. Teacher will review and pass out awards.
The lesson will take approximately four 50 minute class periods depending on the ability of the students. It is geared towards 9-12 grades. This will help students prepare for the financial responsibility of living on their own.
