Greek and Latin Root Flash Cards

These flash cards can be used to introduce and teach some basic Greek and Latin roots. It is important to learn these roots because so many of our English words are made up of them. By studying Greek and Latin students are better able to decode and decipher meaning in text. By talking about roots, it opens students' eyes to making vocabulary connections in all their reading.
Print front and back. It makes 40 flash cards. Use the flash cards in individual reading help, small group, or whole class instruction. Each card has the root on one side and on the other it shows the meaning of the root, the origin, several examples of words that use that root, and their meaning.
By using these cards in small groups or with individual students you can easily differentiate their learning and give them extra help or extra challenges based on their needs.
