What educators are saying
Description
I like to start my lessons with a short activity to get my students focused. I have used this activity successfully with Grades 9-12 (GCSE and A-Level Classical Civilization in the UK) and in adult evening classes.
Short activities such as this labelling Greek Theatre exercise are useful both for building into a lesson or as a stand-by. Once students are familiar with the Greek theatre this free resource can be used a review activity, bell ringer, warm up, brain break, exit, close down or when you just need to do some essential class admin.
(It could also be used as a Scavenger Hunt near the beginning of the module before the topic is started, for a short homework exercise, or revision.)
After explaining the activity and setting the time limit (5-10 mins), the exercise can be used as an individual or paired activity.
Each student is provided with a handout.
At the end of the activity you can work through the answers (which are not included in the free version but can be found alongside other activities in the Greek Theatre Architecture Comparison (bell ringer, warm-up, exit, review) pack in my TpT store).
A second activity, a more challenging Scavenger Hunt, is also included. Both student and teacher's copy (with answers) are provided.
These printable activities are ink-friendly.
Thanks for looking. I hope your students enjoy the activities!
