Greatest Common Factor & Least Common Multiples Enrichment Harry Theme
What educators are saying
Description
Now updated to include a digital student copy that can be sent to students electronically! Students can either scan the QR code on the document or click on the link to get to the Google Form- perfect for distance learning!
I created this as a fun way for my 5th grade students to tackle word problems focused on greatest common factors and least common multiples. Harry, Ron, and Hermione have been sent a locked chest and each problem that students solve will get them closer to unlocking the chest.
Easy prep! Just print out the problems for students to complete and choose whether you want the students to check their answers digitally by using a Google Form, or if you want the students to check their answers with you.
Digital Checking Option- Students can type their answers into a Google Form I created to go along with the activity. Students must get the answer correct to move forward. The entire activity can be completed without the teacher for the digital option.
Non-digital option- Students solve each question and then get the answer checked by the teacher. The teacher reveals the lock numbers after each problem and then students give the teacher the final combination at the end so they can find out what is in the chest and read a letter from Hagrid that was also in the chest.
Hope your students enjoy solving the mystery!
