Description
Who can built the longest wall? Your group has been chosen to build as much of the Great Wall as you can! Along the way you will receive Emperor "bonuses" to help your final numbers! This exciting free-for-all game will bring the events of ancient China to your classroom! Using a pair of dice, each group will try build miles of the Great Wall. But watch out! Invaders from the North, floods, disease, collapses, and peasant revolts will slow your progress. The group with the longest length of wall completed wins! This file includes a blank chart to keep track of your rolls and length built, a comprehensive rules sheet, an alternative rules sheet, an Emperor bonuses sheet, a reminder handout for each group, and discussion questions for the class. This game will add to your discussions and learnings about ancient China and the building of the Great Wall (FYI, this does not include any content (only questions) and is not intended to be a stand-alone product for teaching about the Great Wall). My high school students love playing these dice games! It takes about 35-40 minutes to complete on average. The Halls of History loves games and activities to help teach and get students excited about history!
